Boasting a vibrant historical centre set around a striking harbour bay you'll discover architectural landmarks, masterpiece artworks and sumptuous food. The dormant volcano of Mount Vesuvius also offers a picture-postcard backdrop. From the city, you'll travel further afield to the archaeological site of Pompeii or take in Capri’s glamorous culture.

An optional MSC shore excursion allows you to discover the archaeological site of Pompeii which lingers in the shadow of majestic Mount Vesuvius. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this ancient Roman city was buried under pumice and ash during the volcanic eruption of 79 AD. Today, Pompeii looks frozen in time as it offers glimpses of fossilised people, preserved baths, crumbling columns and fabulous frescoes. You’ll also explore the many artefacts retrieved before going on a guided tour of the excavation site where you’ll learn more about the city’s history.

After a short ferry cruise across the Bay of Naples, you’ll come to Capri, one of the most beautiful islands in Italy. CLIMATE & AVERAGE TEMPERATURES

The Mediterranean enjoys a comfortable mild climate that's perfect for a visit in Spring and early Summer months. There is plenty of sunlight with the days getting longer the closer you get to summer. You can expect average temperatures from 21°C to 27°C and mostly dry days.

During your cruise, you will meet staff throughout the ship who provide you with excellent service. They are supported by just as many staff and crew who work hard behind the scenes to ensure you enjoy every moment on board. For your convenience, MSC Cruises will automatically add a daily Hotel Service Charge to your shipboard account, based on your chosen itinerary and the number of days for which the services are actually provided.

In the event the Qantas Tour you have purchased is unable to proceed, and/or a travel Supplier is unable to fulfil the Qantas Tour due to external circumstances (Limitation of Liability e.g. a Force Majeure event), there may be a fee or amount of money that is withheld by our Suppliers and is unrecoverable. This may be due to non-refundable airline tickets, cancellation penalties with cruise cabins or unrecoverable payments with our land/accommodation partners. If refunds are not available from Suppliers, we will endeavour to obtain a travel credit on the best terms available and communicate these outcomes to you. In the event we are unable to obtain a refund or travel service credit, or part thereof, this cost is passed on to the customer as a Supplier Fee.
